THANKFUL FOR JUNIOR HOCKEY ON THE COAST

Giancarlo Nadeau

In front of a crowd of 500-plus fans, the Coastal Tsunami was able to even up their season series with the Langley Trappers with a 2-0 victory.

The win was largely due to the efforts of Oliver Nottingham (6,7), who scored both goals, and Nick Peters, who turned aside all 34 shots fired his way.

Opportunities went both ways, but all the goal-scoring came in the first period. The Tsunami was 0/8 on the power play, and the Trappers had the same stat.

The Tsunami earned a much-needed win and couldn’t have done it without the great fans who cheered them on. The extra boost of energy had a significant impact on the game’s outcome.

Coastal is back for a back-to-back weekend against the Richmond Sockeyes starting on Friday. Tickets are available online and at the arena.
